AI stewards are quickly becoming a key concept in decentralized governance, especially in the Ethereum community and the broader Web3 world. Co-founder of Ethereum Vitalik Buterine first shared this concept in February 2026, describing how personal AI agents can help people participate in governance while maintaining their own control and influence.
