Republican Candidate Michael Carbonara Reports $2.5+ Million Raised To Beat Entrenched Incumbent

April 13, 2026No Comments3 Mins Read

Cooper City, Florida, April 13, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) —

Broward County Republican Michael Carbonara announced today that he has raised $2,526,427.75 in his campaign for Florida’s 25th Congressional District, an estimated increase of $800,000 from his year-end report.

“This marks the beginning of the end of Debbie’s decades-long hold on her voters,” said Michael Carbonara. “Congressional District 25 is overdue for new leadership to finally answer the call to action when it comes to representing the people’s interests, and today I have great honor and gratitude for those who supported the campaign.”

The campaign’s momentum is not limited to fundraising. Elected officials across Broward County have already endorsed Michael Carbonara and joined the movement to finally dethrone Debbie Wasserman Schultz. Weston Mayor Peggy Brown, the incumbent president of the Florida League of Mayors, has endorsed the campaign. Coconut Creek City Commissioner John Brodie, a disabled U.S. Army combat veteran, endorsed Carbonara, citing his focus on public safety, families and delivering measurable results for the people of Broward. Pompano Beach City Commissioner Audrey Fesik, the first elected official to endorse the campaign, praised Carbonara’s commitment to transparency, coastal stewardship and putting residents first over the influence of special interests. The growing coalition of local leaders reflects a district ready for change.

Michael Carbonara’s war chest is now here far exceeded the total number all opponents raised against Wasserman Schultz in 2024.

The power of the campaign is not only visible in the financial reports, but also in the innovative digital strategies. Michael Carbonara, an entrepreneur who built high-tech companies to solve everyday problems, is rewriting the traditional campaign playbook.
