Liquid staking protocol stake.link introduces AI-powered chatbot amid new upgrades

September 23, 2023No Comments2 Mins Read

Liquid staking protocol stake.link plans to launch new features and an AI-powered chatbot called SergAI. These improvements are intended to consolidate its role as the leading staking solution on Chainlink (CLUTCH), according to a September 21 statement shared with Crypto.

The upgrades

A newly introduced upgrade is the priority pool feature built to automate LINK staking on behalf of depositors, in addition to a “set-and-forget” staking option. The feature would also allow users to efficiently deploy their LINK tokens ahead of the blockchain network’s planned capacity expansion from 25 million to 45 million tokens in the fourth quarter of the year.

Stake.link is also looking to migrate its stake SDL tokens (stSDL) to an NFT representation known as reward escrow SDL (reSDL). According to stake.link, this transition to NFT-based rewards would help drive long-term participation and increase voices within the board.

One of the founders of the Staking Protocol, Jonny Huxtable, said the new features create a dynamic “This benefits both the economic security of the Chainlink Network and the long-term stake holders of the native stake.link token: SDL.” He added:

“This new major version of the stake.link platform brings updated tokenomics and, for the first time, a set-and-forget LINK staking option. Never before has it been easier for users to participate in Chainlink Staking.”

The protocol emphasized and noted the importance of the upgrades LINK from its priority pool will be deployed against the community pool immediately after the third phase of Chainlink Staking v0.2 starts. Moreover, Priority will be given to LINK holders with reSDL tokens over those without, potentially limiting the number of tokens available for deposit.

AI-powered chatbot

Stake.link further announced plans to release an AI-powered chatbot called “SergAI” that will help answer all Chainlink and Stakelink related questions.

The protocol did not provide a definitive timeline for releasing the chatbot.

Meanwhile, stake.link isn’t the first crypto project planning to release an AI-powered tool. Earlier this year, blockchain network Aptos (APT) introduced Aptos Assistant, a Web3 onboarding tool, through a partnership with tech giant Microsoft.
