Hashgraph, a company that develops distributed ledger solutions for businesses, announced that it has renewed its ISO 27001 certification for the second year in a row and received SOC 2 Type II attestation. The company said these achievements confirm that its security systems and internal processes meet recognized industry standards. The certifications cover the infrastructure and services behind Hashgraph products, including HashSphere.
ISO 27001 is a global standard for information security management. It confirms that a company has processes in place for handling security risks, controlling access to systems and responding to incidents. SOC 2 Type II is a security audit standard created by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). It checks whether a company’s security controls work effectively over a longer period of time.
Hashgraph said these certifications can help businesses evaluate its technology more easily. The company’s HashSphere platform, a private network built on Hedera technology, is designed for organizations that need privacy, governance controls and secure operations in regulated industries.
