Decentrland will be the first ever host AI World Exhibition from October 25 to 27 in Decentraland. This event brings together experts and opinion leaders from various fields, such as Web3, gaming, fashion, art and robotics. These celebrities will participate in a series of discussions, panels and activities designed to shed light on various aspects of Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Themes and main speakers
Through a mix of interactive AI applications, real-time product demonstrations and expert-led keynotes and panels, participants and gamers will explore the companies and brands pushing boundaries in the AI sector.
Organized by Decentraland, Verse Digital, Vegas City and the Metaverse Land Company, the AI World Fair will focus on three core themes:
- Sci-fi vs. Sci-fact: This theme aims to clarify the key concepts, issues and potential of AI and explore its applications in different sectors.
- AI x Humanity: Curse or Benefit?: Panelists will delve into job creation versus displacement, business impact, regulation, safety, ethics and the balance between innovation and responsibility.
- The road ahead: Speakers will discuss the future of AI, covering topics such as the rise of advanced AI technologies, the concept of singularity, and the integration of AI with crypto, Web3, and the metaverse.
The more than 40 speakers include Dr. Ben Goertzel from Singularity.NET, Yasmina Benkhoui from NVIDIA and Decentraland Executive Director Yemel Jardi.
Justin Edwards, the founder and CEO of Verse Digital, discussed the origins of the event: “Having worked closely with Innovation City and Metaverse Land Company to develop the Sophiaverse headquarters of Sophia the Robot, we all believe that the metaverse needs an AI conference. Decentraland has been busy developing its own AI capabilities, so we were keen to work with Sam Hamilton and the team to devise an exciting program of talks and exhibitions.”
