1inch Launches Trade Mode, Rebrands Pro to Terminal and Cuts Swap Times

March 4, 2026No Comments4 Mins Read

1inch today rolled out a major set of upgrades, delivering a cleaner trading experience, a rebranded advanced interface, and a measurable increase in swap speed across its infrastructure. The changes, centered around a newly introduced Trade Mode, the rebrand from Pro to 1inch Terminal, and improvements to backend execution, are the product team’s response to user data and community feedback collected since 1inch.com’s redesign last year.

The new trading mode aims to combine professional workflows with greater clarity. Rather than gathering advanced features onto one busy page, Trade Mode presents a structured interface that emphasizes execution settings and trade visibility. Classic swaps remain, but users can now adjust gas and slippage per trade, place and manage limit orders with full lifecycle tracking, and inspect routing and liquidity paths before confirmation.

Integrated price charts and clearer market context appear alongside improved trade history and order status views, and there’s a dedicated access point for traders who want every advanced feature at their fingertips. These changes reflect a push for transparency and control without sacrificing usability.

In addition to the trading mode, 1inch has repositioned its Pro experience as 1inch Terminal. Originally launched as Pro to give traders more granular execution options than Simple Swap, the upgraded Terminal expands on that promise: users get custom throttle and slippage settings, an improved trading history that brings up every limit order, an improved pair selector with favorites, and a network selector placed prominently in the header. The new name is more than cosmetic. It indicates a mature toolset intended for experienced traders who want in-depth control within a single, consistent workbench.

Under the hood, the most tangible user benefit comes from faster swap execution. 1inch says its intent-based swap execution is now almost twice as fast at the median, from 26 seconds to around 14 seconds, with a quarter of swaps handled within nine seconds. Cross-chain routes have also been optimized so that swaps that once took minutes are now cleared in seconds on selected paths.

Giving traders more control and speed

These gains are the result of tuning the execution, which reduces wait during finality and validation phases and tailors the timing to each network instead of using conservative, one-size-fits-all parameters. Importantly, the company uses the same non-custodial trust model: execution is faster, non-custodial. The performance work builds on a series of previous technical efforts on 1inch aimed at removing inefficiencies from swaps and limit orders.

Recent upgrades, including previous Pathfinder and Fusion iterations, have focused on smarter routing and intent-based execution, and this latest round appears to be an incremental but meaningful continuation of that roadmap. For users, the net effect should be a smoother trading experience and less time spent waiting for trades to settle.

“When building any technology, an innovation feedback loop is essential. However, a careful balance must be struck between giving users exactly what they ask for and offering them new capabilities they haven’t thought of yet,” said Sergej Kunz. “At 1inch, we’ve been innovating in DeFi since we introduced DEX aggregation to the market in 2019, and our success is based on our ability to maintain that balance. Today’s suite of user-focused improvements are designed to deliver greater clarity, control, and performance. We listened to you, we built, and today we’re shipping.”

The timing of these updates is important. 1inch serves more than 26 million users and handles substantial daily volume, and any improvement in latency or interface clarity could lead to better results for merchants, less slippage, fewer failed orders, and an overall more confident user base. In addition to swaps, 1inch continues to expand an ecosystem of tools including a self-custody wallet, a portfolio tracker, a corporate portal, and even a debit card, all aimed at making DeFi more user-friendly and accessible.

With Trade Mode and Terminal live and noticeably faster swaps, 1inch aims to deliver a smoother, more polished experience without sacrificing the speed and control that serious traders expect. If you prefer a cleaner, execution-oriented workflow, try Trading Mode; if you want full control over gas, slip, and order management, Terminal puts these advanced tools first. And for those paying attention to latency, the improvements in the platform’s swap speed will likely be the upgrade they notice first.
