HONG KONG, Jan. 5, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Wisson Robotics, a global pioneer in general-purpose soft robotics, will demonstrate its innovative soft aerial robots at CES 2025, including the AP3-P3 for facade cleaningthe versatile AP30-N1 air manipulator including the Pliabot® arm from Wisson. These innovations significantly advance the contact-based precision capabilities of drones for aerial operations. Visit Wisson at booth #8262, Smart Cities, North Hall of LVCC.
In recent years, drones have been widely used in photography, surveying and delivery. However, industries are now looking for more advanced capabilities, especially the contact-based capabilities for substantial impact on objects. This requires the equipment to be highly adaptable to deliver the capabilities while functioning steadily under recoil or dominion in the ever-changing environment. To meet these needs, Wisson Robotics has integrated its proprietary Pliabot® technology into drones, culminating in the “Orion” series of soft aerial robots.
The Orion series includes the N, P, GAnd D serieswhich provides various contact-based capabilities such as aerial grasping, transfer, deployment, spraying, cleaning and contact-based sensing. While maintaining the inherent mobility of drones, the integration of Pliabot® technology enables precise operations during both hover and flight. These possibilities open new horizons for sectors such as high-altitude facade cleaning, renewable energy maintenance, emergency response and environmental protection.
The Orion AP3-P3 Pliabot® airborne cleaning system is ideal for facade cleaning and tower maintenance. It greatly improves operational efficiency, replaces traditional high-altitude workers and effectively reduces risks. Compared to conventional cleaning drones, the AP3-P3 weighs only 1.3 kg and is equipped with a high-pressure pump. Featuring a Pliabot® gimbal for multi-angle adjustments, it can easily access areas such as eaves and windowsills. Using Pliabot® technology, AP3-P3 can effectively minimize the impact of kickback or sway with adaptive balance. It also facilitates flexible interactions with operational targets, minimizes the risk of collision and ensures stability and safety in aerial tasks.
The Orion series is widely used and well recognized by customers, helping them significantly improve operational efficiency, safety and overall experience. To date, Wisson’s Pliabot® robots have been developed and deployed in more than 100 countries, regions and cities, serving sectors such as facade cleaning, autonomous driving, new energy, logistics, city management, maritime services and electricity grids.
