The multi -year rate switch from Uniswap can finally come to an end, and uni collects while holders see light at the end of the tunnel.
Uni has risen by 25% last week and 6% today, fed by a recent proposal to set up a non -profit legal structure for Uniswap Governance that is registered in the state of Wyoming.

The new structure is known as a decentralized not -withdrawn non -profit association or Duna, and Uniswap’s are called Duni. Analysts and traders work in the assumption that Duni releases the way for Uniswap Governance to finally start distributing protocol costs to token holders, which is known as the cost switch
According to the proposal, “Uniswap Governance as Duna would strengthen critically limited liability protection for administrative participants. This step is intended to protect administrative participants against possible personal exposure to possible legal or tax liabilities arising from the collective action taken by Uniswap Governance.”
The proposal further says: “In this vision, the board can engage the protocol costs.”
Uniswap is the third highest reimbursement generator in the whole of Defi in the last 30 days with $ 129 million, and the fourth highest in the last calendar year by $ 1.08 billion, according to Defillama. This only follows Tether’s $ 6.5 billion and Circle’s $ 1.94 billion.

There will be a long time
The reimbursement switch was first proposed in 2022, but was soon received with hesitation due to the regulatory landscape and the legal gray area. The mechanism was again presented in February 2024, only to be rejected a month later.
Now, in 2025 under the new US government, holders are hopeful about a favorable result, given the new and friendly tone of the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) to decentralized finances, perhaps best summarized by the recent ‘Project Crypto’ statement by chairman Paul Atkins.
Senator of the state of Wyoming Cynthia Lummis went to X to share a story about the Duna plan of Uniswap, where she said: “Wyoming has laid out with the establishment of the LLC in the 1970s and has now set up Dunas to offer a legal entity to digital activity companies.
