Fans have been waiting for years for the arrival of the new entry in their favorite franchise, and it’s finally here.
With Grand Theft Auto postponed until next year, that can only mean one thing: Hollow Knight: Silksong is coming, and it will come within a few days.
For those who have been patient, this news is almost incredible. Developer team Cherry has been almost quiet since the announcement of the game, to the point where entire communities of Memes have emerged, with some focused on trolls of each other.
This month also marks the long -awaited return of Silent Hill. That is, trailers have been tempting so far, but it is up to Konami to make up for the promises and to create a game that feels authentic ‘silent hill’.
Although the games below are those we think are the most exciting releases that will come next month, make no mistake, there are many intriguing games that are released.
We really wanted to record Garfield Kart 2: Everything you can driftBut unfortunately we couldn’t let it work.
Hollow Knight: Silksong
Release date: September 4
Platforms: PC (Steam, Gog, Humble Bundle), MacOS, Linux, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S; Xbox Game Pass Day-One
Hollow Knight was an almost immediate hit with gamers, especially fans of search games, popularly called Metroidvanias.
Hollow Knight combines unique characters with Razor-Sharp Precision gameplay and satisfactory exploration.
Silksong is the sequel to that game, and in this, you will take on the role of the Hunter Hornet, explore a new map filled with secrets and bosses.
Baby step
Release date: September 23 (delayed from 8 September)
Platforms: PC (Steam), PS5
What a rare thing it is to be named a game genre after a single person.
But Bennett Foddy broke a nerve with the 2008 browser game, which used the Q, W, W and P keys to move the character’s feet with unbearable precision or run the risk of falling with the eye.
Most video games are powerful fantasies you can release a hail bullets or a meteorstorm with the push of a button. Foddylikes keep their tasks much easier and easier.
That brings us to baby steps, in which you “play as a nate, an unemployed failure with nothing for him, until one day he discovers a force that he never knew … one foot for the other had.” The team behind Baby Steps calls it a ‘literal walk simulator’.
Borderlands 4
Release date: September 12 (PC, PS5, Xbox Series X/s); Nintendo Switch 2 on October 3
Platforms: PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2 (later)
Don’t fear, Borderlands fans, who came out of gloomy film that came out last year, did not mark the death of the beloved Shooter franchise. Borderlands 4 will be released within a few weeks.
This game naturally brings new characters and a new story. But it also adds an outpost transfer -engineer to the game, as well as the possibility to control a Digirunner all over the world map.
Just like about everything else in Borderlands, you can adjust both the appearance and feeling of the vehicle. Speaking of adjustment, Borderlands 4 also has a large number of new weapons and new ways to combine and match parts of different brands to make increasingly powerful weapons.
Henry Hemelhead
Release date: September 16, 2025
Platforms: PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PS5, Nintendo Switch (compatible with Switch 2)
Henry Hemelhead is inspiration from games such as Katamari Damacy to create a simple, beautiful world.
And in that world you play like, you guessed it, Henry Hemelhead, a man who is a few eyes and ears, a nose and little else.
However, Henry has the power to inhabit everything he can land on, and can then move or perform item -specific actions, such as taking a kitchen knife to chop food, for example.
This game looks whimsical and surprising and we would like to see how many items you can possess.
Dying Light: The Beast
Release date: September 19, 2025 (PS4 & Xbox One versions later in 2025)
Platforms: PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PS5 (incl. Pro), Xbox series X/S (Initial); PS4, Xbox One (later)
We all thought the same thing when we played Dying Light 2, the extensive sequel to dying light. “I miss dying light protagonist Kyle Crane, a character that I certainly remember,” we all said.
Dying Light: The Beast puts it back in the Parkour -Sneakers of Kyle Crane, but there is something else. It is more than ten years since we saw him for the last time, and he spent that all the time and used it as a test subject by a bad scientist who gave him new powers and senses.
Kyle can Berserk go with his new skills, but is he the titular beast?
Silent Hill F
Release date: 25 September
Platforms: PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PS5, Xbox series X/S
Silent Hill -fans have been roughly accompanied by it.
After a great start in the late nineties and early 2000s with a series of solid-out-out survival horror games, Konami struggled to produce a quiet hill game that fulfilled the critical and fan-praise of Silent Hill 2.
It is not that every game has been bad since then, but they have certainly had trouble to leave a stamp.
The trailers for Silent Hill F show that the game shifted from modern American streets to Japan from the 60s. This is a completely new setting that makes this a new start, more than a sequel or restart.
The monsters that we have seen look great, but the trailers seem to suggest a focus on Melee fights – something that has never been a force for the series. Fans cross their fingers that this lands.
Final Fantasy Tactics: The Iralice Chronicles
Release date: September 30th
Platforms: PC (Steam), PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2
Although most memorable Final Fantasy games are the Mainline numbered entries, Final Fantasy Tactics, first released for the original PlayStation (Tactiek on Game Boy Advance SP was my favorite version), standing out as perhaps the most beloved spin-off game in the Final Fantasy franchise.
Instead of exploring a huge open world with a few characters, you are in charge of a small army of wizards, warriors and more, fighting enemies on grid-based battlefields.
The story also does not fall, with themes of power and corruption. This release introduces an updated script with a completely expressed dialogue, “improved” art (although they have made this claim earlier and are not successful in it), a renewed user interface, new difficulty levels and auto-save.
This can be the best way to play one of the best games in Square Enix.
