The best Nintendo Switch 2 games to play now

So you just spent $ 450 on a Nintendo Switch 2 – or perhaps more, depending on how the market behaves in the near future – and you want to play something new on top. Technically, there are thousands of games to play on your switch 2, thanks to backward compatibility, but a slightly better frame rate is not a very tempting reason to dive back into a game.

No, you want it to feel new. It should be an exclusive game of Switch 2, ideally, but there are not many yet. If it cannot be exclusive, then it should at least be one of the games with official Nintendo Switch 2 editions – praises that have received extra attention, apart from the fact that they can simply run on hardware with more roomy limitations.

Donkey Kong Bananza

The newest game from Donkey Kong is an exclusive Switch 2, and it is his second adventure in a full 3D environment – the last was Donkey Kong 64, no less than 26 years ago. It’s time!

Donkey Kong Bananza is great like a game with one player or in cooperative, and it is also fun to play as a platformer or just to mess around. You can destroy just about everything, cut your own path through the world. It is a worthy game to fill the gap to the next new Super Mario adventure.

Mario Kart World

Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is perhaps the “ultimate” Mario Kart, who brings in a huge range of traces and dozens of go -kart drivers, but Mario Kart World is the one you can’t play anywhere else. You can participate in races with 24 players and explore an open world that connects different songs, over 16 new and 14 Relocated Tracks.

A striking function is the new knock -out mode, in which racers not only compete for the first place, but to stay out of the back of the race. With each new checkpoint, the last few players at the end, as the title suggests, were beaten out of the race. This is a fun way to mix races that make extensive use of the new limit and hardware of 24 players.

Fusion

Nintendo will not continue the F-Zero torch, so someone else has to do it. Look no further than the $ 15 downloadable switch 2 exclusive, fast merger.

It may sound like a new kind of restaurant, but it is actually a fast, sci-fi racer who calls games such as F-Zero and Wipeout. Yakuza 0: Director’s Cut

Generally considered as one of the best games in the long-term Yakuza/Like a Dragon series, Yakuza 0 Kiryu takes back to his roots in Tokyo and Osaka, during the economic bubble. The Switch 2 edition brings a brand new English dub, adds brand new intermediate movies that promise to bring extra depth to the characters and events of the game, and even implement a new online mode called Red Light Raid.

Kirby and the Forgotten Land: Switch 2 Edition

Kirby’s newest adventure Hit Nintendo Switch back in 2022 and gave us a nice, tight platform adventure to enjoy with our favorite pink ball. However, you get a few new upgrades for Nintendo Switch 2. First and foremost there is a whole new story next to the original, called with stars crossed world. But you also get a noticeable graphic upgrade and an improved frame rate to make the whole thing a nicer experience.

There are a handful of new Switch 2 exclusives on the way to keep an eye on. Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, Pokémon Legends: Sat, Kirby Air Ride and Hyrule Warriors: Age or imprisonment will all be released this year. Metroid and Pokémon also have switch editions, but you can expect the Switch 2 versions to offer some remarkable improvements.
