The opening ceremony of the 15th Smart City and Intelligent Economy Expo (referred to as “Smart Expo”) was held on 5 September in Ningbo. Under the theme “AI-driven evolution for the new era”, this year’s exhibition emphasizes the deep integration of artificial intelligence technology in industrial innovation, urban administration and public services, accelerating AI-driven digital transformation and promoting new forms of industrialization.

This year’s exhibition reaches a record-breaking scale, with a total area of more than 35,000 square meters, with six thematic pavilions, including AI navigation and AI+ production. More than 400 companies and institutions participate, with more than half of the first exhibitors. For the first time, the Expo has set up an artificial intelligence and embodied intelligence zone, with more than 50 humanoid robots and roboths. The very first “Tech for Disability Assistance” sector also debuts, with more than 20 innovative auxiliary products, including soft -hand rehabilitation robots, which embody the vision of digital intelligence that serves people.

During the Expo, a series of professional forums, including keynote pans from academics and experts, will be delivered, in addition to specialized workshops and the launch of important research results. In addition, the matchmaking events of humanoid robot will be kept, which invites diplomats from 11 countries to promote international cooperation.
More than 20 “robot shows” are introduced for the first time in the exhibition halls, which show practical applications of the latest models of humanoid robots and roboths, giving citizens a compelling taste of human-machine symbiosis.

Interactive experiences, such as Smart Health Preservation by Telecom, Smart Connected Home by mobile, Silver Age classes from Unicom and smart classrooms in education, citizens enable citizens to experience the fruits of digital transformation firsthand.

The Expo runs until 7 September and is co -organized by the municipal government of Ningbo, the Provincial Ministry of Economy and Information Technology of Zhejiang, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology, China Electronics Enterprise Association, China Telecom, China Mobile and China Unicom.
