Sonic hopes that his AI tool will make Web3 development more accessible to ordinary users.
Web3 development has long been accessible to skilled developers, but many platforms try to change that. On Thursday 17 June Layer 1 Network Sonic (s) Spark unveiled, a new AI tool with which users can build Web3 apps without advanced coding skills. Sonic claims that users will be able to build all types of Defi protocols, non-fungal token-marketplaces and more.
The project will contain a no-code builder who can work over the entire stack in Web3 applications. According to Sonic, it will be able to make smart contracts, frontends and to handle the implementation. It will also contain an error investigation agent that helps to improve the app in real time until it compiles.
Sonic also stated that all apps are screened for bugs and vulnerabilities before they are deployed. The AI agent marks all functions that can be unsafe and result in the loss of user funds. Users can also ask the agent to explain everything it does in the natural language.
Sonic’s Spark Launch hopes to grow his ecosystem
For Sonic, the launch of the Spark AI tool is an attempt to grow his blockchain ecosystem. By enabling more developers to build on his network, Sonic hopes to attract more users who are looking for a diverse range of use cases.
“Spark is expanding the developer pool, unlocks fast experiments in chains, records billions in free AI R&D and places Sonic at the front of both blockchain and AI,” Sonic Team wrote.
Nevertheless, large language models, on which Sonic trusts, are susceptible to errors in both natural language and programming. In Web3 and Defi this can lead to catastrophic consequences. Hackers can even exploit through experienced developers, and therefore Defi platforms that have been built by AI can run an even greater risk.
