Raydium, a Solana-based Defi-platform, launched its own Memecoin Launchpad after Pump.Fun-drawn ties with the automated market maker last month.
Dubynchronized Launchlab, the new Memecoin-making protocol officially went live on April 16, giving users a simple way to make their own tokens directly on the Solana blockchain, to exchange and exchange it, according to one X From Raydium on the day.
The platform connects directly with the liquidity pools of Raydium, so that new tokens can immediately start acting with minimal setup. Projects that increase at least 85 SOL, or approximately $ 11,150, are automatically added to the Raydium AMM, giving them access to deeper liquidity from the start.
Launchlab also offers flexible options for bond curve, 1% trading costs and zero migration costs, an important change aimed at reducing friction for both developers and traders. More than 10 projects had already crossed the 85 Sol threshold on the press, which suggests that early interest in the new tool.
After the launch, Raydium’s Native Token Ray was about 13% to $ 2.41 before he cooled down on the press of around $ 2.32.
According to Raydium, 25% of all trading costs that are collected via Launchlab will be used to reduce Ray tokens, making it possible to support the market value over time.
As previously reported by crypto.news, early signs of Raydium emerged that emerged on a new token launch platform in March, shortly after Pump.Fun revealed plans for his own automated market maker.
The announcement of Pump.Fun, which had long used the Raydium liquidity pools for the launches of the binding curve, effectively ended what was seen as an important source of income and activity for Raydium.
On March 20, Pump.Fun Pumpswap, a Solana-based DEX that supports all launchpad coins that completes their binding curve, that offers immediate, cost-free migrations and full trade support.
At the time, an anonymous Raydium developer, Launchlab, had been in the making for several months. However, the team kept it suspended to prevent each perception from competing directly with pump. Fun or other launching places.
According to the developer, Launchlab was not built to replace pump. Fun, but rather to offer teams a simpler way to make and manage tokens without starting all over again.
That said, Launchlab still misses a number of community-driven functions, such as Pump.Fun’s live streaming option, which has become a popular tool for Memecoin makers to go directly with their target groups.
Due to widespread abuse, including extreme stunts and threats of self-harm, pump. Fun suspended the position in November 2024 after community-backlash. Since then it has been restored, whereby the platform on 11 April fully recovers live streaming under stricter fashion rules to curb abuse.
