Sentient, a decentralized AI company, has introduced Dobby Plus, an open-source chatbot that is now available on X and hugging, according to a statement of 4 June shared with CryptoSlate.
This new model challenges its own AI systems from large technology companies such as OpenAi and Anthropic.
Dobby Plus
According to Sentient, Dobby Plus is built on a decentralized AI framework formed by input from more than two million users.
Instead of trusting business guidelines, the chatbot evolves through continuous community contributions, refining her personality, tone and decision -making to reflect shared values. This approach shifts the story from your own control to collective ownership.
The design of Dobby emphasizes a balanced mix of actual precision and emotional intelligence. Sentient attributes this to his unique training method for “data over tax”, which improves technical possibilities (such as mathematics and coding) with soft skills such as empathy and conversation nuance.
The company said that this approach improves the tone and user involvement of the model while maintaining performance and accuracy.
Conscious unveiled That his model is currently performing better than Claude, GPT-4O and Deepseek R1 in personality, involvement and creativity.
In addition, the open-source framework of Dobby makes independent audits possible for risks such as memory manipulation and fast injection.
These are important characteristics for the project, since the AI community is increasingly delivered about safety, especially while large technology companies are reportedly scaling back on rigorous tests.
Decentralized property
In the meantime, the launch of Dobby Plus follows the release of Sentient in February of its 70B model, which attracted more than 660,000 users.
Each user received a cryptographic fingerprint copy of the model, whereby a new method of open ownership is determined that goes beyond open-source access.
Sentient sees this as a working example of how models guided by the community can be received reasonably and transparent.
Himanshu Tyagi, co-founder of Sentient, said:
“We don’t think AI models should only cover the bags of the person who owns the GPU cluster. We are building an AI system that is open to control, formed by its users and shared with those who make it valuable.”
Looking ahead, plans for conscious plans to develop a protocol for collective AI systems, so that users can become stakeholders with voting rights and profit sharing benefits.
