Hive digital co-founder Frank Holmes stated this week that various sanctioned countries in secret Bitcoin (BTC) are actively used mines and to the crypto as an alternative income stream in the light of the financial limitations of the US.
Holmes made the claims during a recent interview with the round table. He led a recent decrease in global mining difficulties to military strikes that focus on power infrastructure in Iran, suggesting that the army of the country used energy sources to generate Bitcoin and hard currency.
The comments reflect a broader trend in which governments that are cut off from traditional financial systems use crypto -mining to fill economic gaps.
Holmes said that this is not limited to Iran, which implies that other countries with American sanctions also participate in similar activities, although much of it is unknown.
He also claimed that Bitcoin has become a strategically active, especially for countries that have difficulty gaining access to dollars. Mijnbouw offers a direct route to collect value outside the traditional financial ecosystem.
Holmes said that disruptions of mine facilities can now be observed in data at network level, such as hash-rate fluctuations.
Bijenkorf that produces production
While he points to opponents of the US who use crypto-mining as a financial lifeline, Hive Digital Growth strives for US-united countries.
The company recently expanded its footprint in Paraguay and acquires infrastructure to scale activities faster. The decision required the disposal of part of his Bitcoin holdings, but Holmes described it as a strategic assessment to accelerate production.
The supporting regulatory attitude and energy sources of Paraguay make it an important location for the expansion of Hive, especially in comparison with more politically volatile countries in the region.
The move comes in the midst of a growing sentiment that Bitcoin -Mybouw will continue to bloom in jurisdictions that are tailored to US economic interests, in particular under current administration.
Hive has now surpassed 14 Exahashes per second (EH/S) in my capacity, with the aim of reaching 25 eh/s at the end of November. With the current output, the company generates around $ 315 million in income from an annual basis and places it with the best contenders in terms of efficiency and scale.
The comments emphasize a shifting landscape where mining activity is not only about profitability, but is increasingly intertwined with global alliances, sanctions and power projection through digital infrastructure.
