After collecting around 300 million players last year in a tap-to-ear bubble who made unexpected waves over the regular, telegram-game hamster-Kombat, he had his HMST token on the Open Network (Ton) in September September-to mainly negative reviews of recipients.
And then it’s just … disappeared. What was planned to be ‘intermezz’ gameplay season for a few weeks, was stretched for months and was no longer updated after a while. The anonymous developers teased a second full season of gameplay and then stopped and finally said that it would be part of a wider “Hamsterse” of games.
Now the Hamster fresh here, led by the launch of Gamedev Heroes on Tuesday, was the second season of the core competition. After all those months, after the underwhelming AirDrop and the subsequent price dive of 77%, do you have to tap for a new twist around the hamster wheel?

As plagued, Hamster Kombat: Gamedev Heroes changes the original tap-to-ear ranging point in a SIM of video games, where you recruit programmers and artists, get games and earn more coins along the way. It has the well-known number go-up atmosphere that caused hype around the original game and many copycats, but with a new look.
And it’s weird. Developing games feels here as a window dressing, even thinner than the original premise “Hamster-Run Crypto Exchange”. And the employees have bizarre names such as Yizz Crunchy and Booby Hubble (Echt), plus there are typing errors in abundance and uncomfortable art that looks like it was generated by AI.
Frustrating has embraced the growing telegram -Crypto -Gaming -Trend of aggressive income and Premium GamePlay -Upgrades that seem to be available for players who spend real money to buy telegram stars. It is a bad look for a game that should try to recover his former fan base.
Otherwise it feels a lot like the old hamster kombat. Spending coins on upgrades is even more valuable than ticking, the well-known daily combination and numeral code is for a small boost, and … well, the numbers will certainly get bigger as you play more. That is somewhat reassuring as a person who played a really clumsy amount of this game in 2024.
But playing a boring, repetitive game for countless hours only works when it is powered by excitement and optimism. Almost all of that has disappeared – both in particular for Hamster Kombat, who fell on players months after the tok and for the wider telegram gaming scene, who still has to find a hit after many misvuren.
After months of alleged development, Hamster Kombat: Gamedev -heroes usually feels like a side issue. And although there is still an airdrop on the horizon, I would be surprised if a dangling token reward seduces almost as many players this time, given the previous result.

Regarding the wider hamster fresh, the other available game – a simple fighting game called Hamster Fight Club – is even less forced than last year’s monoton pixel tap. That leaves little optimism for the Hamster Boost and Hamster King Games that are in beta tests, given the quality of what is here so far.
So do you have to fall into the hamsters if you have been tailored to Hamster Kombat in recent months? Although it is possible that Gamedev heroes will be worked out and/or other games will be more tempting, at least for the time being it is hard to believe that the slog will be worth being distributed to any reward.
