Retro-inspired design
Encased in a consciously retro chassis, the RT85 features a TFT screen, four-way joystick and a five-layer sound-dampening gasket system, offering an immersive upgrade in vision, sound and touch. Inspired by twentieth-century consumer electronics, the keyboard is offered in two striking colorways: soothing green and white, and vintage white accented by gray and vibrant orange.
Innovative controls
A rotary knob replaces the traditional slide switch for connection mode selection, with the tactile steps reminiscent of analog television tuning. A magnetically secured 2.4 GHz receiver compartment ensures that the keyboard maintains a sleek and uncluttered silhouette.
Interactive display and joystick
A TFT module above the function row serves as a clock, control panel or place for user-uploaded animations. A joystick, placed next to the arrow keys, allows volume and RGB lighting adjustments without the need for drivers, improving real-time interactivity for both gaming and multimedia applications.
Acoustic and typing experience
The sound refinement is achieved by five specialized damping elements, PORON sandwich foam, IXPE switch pad, PET sound enhancement pad, EPDM switch socket foam and a silicone bottom, working in harmony with factory-lubricated switches and precision-balanced stabilizers. The result is a keystroke that is deep, resonant and free of high-frequency noise. Additionally, a flex-cut PC positioning plate in a gasket mount provides consistent flex, reducing fatigue during extended typing sessions.
Ergonomics and connectivity
Ergonomic considerations include Cherry profile PBT keys and an adjustable stand that offers three different typing angles. Full customization is possible via the updated Epomaker Driver, which supports key remapping, macro recording, sensitivity adjustment and per-key RGB configuration. An 8,000mAh battery provides approximately long hours of wireless use when the backlight is turned off. Tri-mode connectivity, USB-C, 2.4 GHz and Bluetooth ensure compatibility with multiple devices.
