US President Donald Trump is said to be prepared to reveal the Bitcoin reservation strategy at the upcoming Crypto top of the White House on March 7, according to The Pavlovic Report.
According to the report, trade secretary Howard Lutnick confirmed that President Trump will outline his vision of the crypto industry during the event. His address includes a strategy for a Bitcoin reserve in addition to broader regulations plans for digital assets.
Lutnick noted that although the president supports the establishment of a Bitcoin strategic reserve, the discussions about the regulatory approach for Altcoins are underway.
Lutnick said:
“A Bitcoin strategic reserve is something the president is interested in. He all spoke about it during the campaign track and I think you will see it performing on Friday.”
In the meantime, Lutnick also confirmed that Bitcoin will receive special recognition under Trump’s plan, while other cryptocurrencies will be treated differently under the new policy.
According to Lutnick:
“So Bitcoin is one thing, and then the other currencies, the other crypto tokens, I think, will be treated differently – positive, but different.”
This clarification is necessary, since Trump’s recent social media post has hinted that the crypto reserve plan could include multiple assets such as Ethereum, Solana, Cardano and XRP.
