Drenthe (Meppel), Netherlands-15 September 2025-Digit Paxmentis, an AI-Native Social Enterprise, announces the launch of the Dillusion Dispatch (TDD), a new editorial channel under its Bridge of Light (BOL) initiative.
TDD documents real injustice through black-and-white cartoon journalism-transforming lived disillusion in visual resistance.
The launch coincides with the International Day of Democracy (September 15, 2025), which brings a global crisis to the attention:
More than 850 million people worldwide and 1.24 million live in Europe without legal identity, state membership or access to basic rights.
These persons are invisible for systems, excluded from health care, banking and democratic participation.
A real story from the legal void
TDD is rooted in the experienced experience of Kapitein Jayr, a 61-year-old citizen in the Netherlands excluded from the National BRP system because of his home on a wooden sailing ship. As documented in his GoFundMe campaign, this exclusion has made him stateless – unable to gain access to health care, tax refunds or legal recognition.
His story reflects a growing demography of the ‘new arms’, including 33,000 homeless people in the Netherlands, many of whom were born in the country and are now confronted with systemic invisibility. These figures are supported by CBS Nederland, FEANTSA and UNHCR.

TDD uses minimalist cartoon panels to document these realities. Inspired by Joe Sacco’s work, every panel is based on verified events.
