Core automatically rewards developers who contribute to activities on his platform, from Stablecoins to Defi projects.
Defi projects and developers form a core part of each ecosystem, but so far they have not picked much of the rewards. For this reason, on Tuesday 15 June, Core Foundation the launch of REV+announced a model for sharing income at the protocol level.
Developers who work on the core (core) ecosystem, an EVM -compatible bitcoin (BTC) design protocol, automatically earns part of the gas costs. Stablecoin -Emitents, NFT collections, Defi -developers and DAOS earn part of the costs for all transactions they facilitate.
“Rev+ is designed to reward the activity that our ecosystem drives,” said Hong Sun of Core Foundation. “More volume means more rewards-zowel for issuers as builders. It is the first time that assets on-chains have been able to earn money in the same way as web companies.”
According to Core Foundation, this step was taken to distribute the rewards a little more. In particular, rewards are intended to go to the protocols that facilitate the transactions. In this way they do not have to give their own tokens to make money with their activity.
Stablecoins are an important focus in the launch of Core’s Rev+
This mainly applies to Stablecoins, the institutional lead of Core, Hong Sun, explained. It is striking that Stablecoins is good for more than $ 35 trillion of annual volume in all block chains. This activity helps to generate 30.8% of all Defi costs, an increase of only 4.7% earlier in the year.
“Stablecoins are now good for more than a third of the Defi income,” Sun said. “Nevertheless, EXPENTEN does not earn any income from transaction activity. REV+ will change that by coordinating incentives, so that the projects that drive web3 are actually paid when their tokens move.”
At the same time, most of the reimbursements that make Stablecoins make it possible do not go to the issuers. With the new reward system, the protocol hopes to attract more stablecoins in its ecosystem. This in turn can significantly contribute to the activity on the chain, stimulating the growth of the ecosystem.
