BREAKING Polymarket Smart Contract Exploit Reported as DeFi Hack Tally Mounts

May 24, 2026No Comments1 Min Read

Onchain investigator ZachXBT has flagged an apparent exploit of Polymarket’s $UMA CTF Adapter smart contract on 22 May, with reportedly more than $520,000 drained and funds flowing to an attacker wallet.

The $UMA CTF Adapter is the smart contract through which Polymarket’s prediction markets settle using $UMA‘s Optimistic Oracle, the mechanism that determines the outcome of event contracts and releases funds to winning positions.

The reported incident is developing, and the full scope has not been confirmed. Polymarket had not issued a public response or responded to a request for comment at the time of reporting.
