In short
- Cada revealed that DJ Thy, host of ‘working days with your’, was made with the help of Elflabs technology.
- The station had initially not announced that you were created with the help of artificial intelligence.
An Australian radio station is confronted with a recoil after he has admitted that one of his popular on-air hosts, your, is actually a DJ generated by AI.
Thy, who organizes the daily “Workdays with Thy” show on Sydney -featured CADA, was developed with the help of technology from Elflabs. The station had not announced that you were artificial, according to a report from The Sydney Morning Herald.
“Every weekday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. while you are working, driving around, doing commuting on public transport or at Uni, you will play the most popular songs from all over the world,” said the working days with your show notes. “Workdays with Thy” has been in the air since November.
Although the voice and parable of the AI are based on a real Arn -Media employee, Cada said that the music of the show was compiled by ‘music experts’. The station does not state the use of AI in its show description.
“Workdays with Thy” is only the newest in a series of radio programs organized by AIS. In 2023, Portland, based in Oregon, introduced FBFF Live 95.5 Ai Ashley, an AI version of his human host, Ashley Elzinga. Unlike yours, Ai Ashley, however, was announced as AI from the start.
“Workdays with Thy” has reached 72,000 listeners from March, CADA reported, and it is not the only Australian radio station that uses AI DJs; Others include Disrupt Radio in Melbourne and his host Debbie Disrupt.
Elevenlabs, launched in San Francisco, launched in January 2023, is an AI audio company that offers advanced tools for text-to-speech, speech cloning and multilingual nasynchronization in more than 30 languages. Prominent examples of Elflabs technology in action include collaborations with the estates of iconic actors Jimmy Stewart, Burt Reynolds and Grateful Dead frontman Jerry Garcia.
“The purpose of these iconic voices is to add a deeper and new level of compelling experience to listening and reading the content” Decodeer. “It is a different kind of experience that we do with these iconic voices that hopefully our users enjoy.”
The use of artificial intelligence in music has risen in recent years, with programs that are now able to compose songs and even imitate the voices of long -covered entertainers. As the technology becomes more advanced, it is not only the creation of music – it also starts to replace the personalities that they present.
