Aave CEO and founder Stani Kulechov broke his silence on a large upgrade that comes to Aave in Q4, 2025.
The Aave V4 upgrade is expected to be one of the most important events in Defi in 2025, including functions such as a hub-and-spoke architecture, reinvestment module and others, who stimulate a liquidity of Aave and the saving of gas.
The upgrade also includes UX improvements and a new liquidation engine. The reinvestment module would help Aave to earn more from unused capital, with the help of inactive liquidity.
On September 15, the Aave founder informed the Crypto community of the Aave V4 Upgrade Roadmap, which emphasizes where the project is currently in its development.

The AAVE founder noted in response to a tweet that emphasized the characteristics of Aave V4, “very nice overview of the Aave V4 function”, adding that the reinvestment module was not part of the original design.

The Aave CEO further explained the reinvestment function as a CEO with which the protocol enables the protocol to drive Pool in strategies with a low risk, very liquid yield strategies, creating extra efficiency for LPS. The function is somewhat inspired by Ethena’s rebalance to USDTB, but has been used native within Aave.
The AAVE team shared the launch route map for the Aave -Upgrade on September 15 and unveiled a recent V4 development update.
