- Cards are being sold through select retailers and the Cardsmiths website for just $37 for a pack of 2.
- Multiple users have drawn 1 BTC redemption card, netting over $100,000 worth of crypto from packs as cheap as $13.
After several collectors pulled Bitcoin redemption cards from previous sets, trading card manufacturer Cardsmiths released its latest currency series set with five cards redeemable for 1 full Bitcoin each – over $100,000 each at the time of writing.
Currency Series 5 went on sale Wednesday on the company’s website and through select retailers, featuring the largest selection of crypto redemption cards ever, allowing collectors to redeem real-world amounts of Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Dogecoin.
“Demand for Currency Series 5 has exceeded all previous releases. Interest has been both broader and deeper than any previous Currency set,” said Steven Loney, CEO of Cardsmiths. Declutter.

The latest series of cards can be purchased for just $37 for a two-pack box, with each pack containing five trading cards. Cards that can be exchanged for cryptocurrency can be found in about 1 in 96 packs, according to data shared on the product page.
In addition to improving the redeemable cards, Cardsmiths has also added a non-redeemable 1/1 Bitcoin trading card to Currency Series 5, which can serve as one of the main collectibles in the set.
The manufacturer also collaborated with artists such as Gunship Revolution Studios, Jon McTavish and well-known street artists Mr. Brainwashing to add a distinctive visual presence to the cards.
“From the beginning, our goal was to create truly unique ‘One of One’ cards for each currency release. Bitcoin remains the most recognized and valuable cryptocurrency, so it was a natural choice for this concept,” said Loney.
Collectors have taken advantage of Cardsmiths’ currency exchange offerings over the past year, turning packs worth around $30 into more than $100,000 thanks to the rise of Bitcoin.
A user in February found a complete Bitcoin redemption card from a $50 pack of the set holiday currency, giving them a profit of more than six figures if they chose to sell after redemption.
In August one GameStop user found a Bitcoin redemption card that was estimated at the time at about $115,000, compared to a package that cost about $13. Other GameStop customers have shared similar stories thanks to the video game retailer turned collector company offering Cardsmiths products.
Deliveries of Currency Series 5 are still available on the manufacturer’s website from Friday afternoon. The company has partnered with BitPay to allow users to pay with coins such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Dogecoin and Circle’s dollar-backed stablecoin, USDC.
As for Cardsmiths’ future crypto ambitions, collectors can expect to see more currency sets.
“Currency is our primary IP, and development of future sets, including Currency Series 6, is already underway,” said Loney. “We have a handful of exciting launches on the horizon.”
