Gulf News Interim CEO Vijay Vaghela with author Xavier Augustin at the UAE launch of the Global Indian
(September 19, 2025) Gulf News held the private -vae unveiling of the Global Indian, written by the innovative entrepreneur Xavier Augustin, who marked the first performance of the book in the region. The event was tailored to discussions, concepts and the changing identity of Indians who live abroad. This close meeting at the headquarters of the Gulf News United Editors, journalists and selected guests for a keynote speech, a fascinating Hireside conversation and the long-awaited launch of the book by Xavier.
A room for concepts and self -studies:
Xavier’s Keynote emphasized the motivation behind the Global Indian, a book that acts as a story and a manual for reinterpreting the concept of success for Indians on the worldwide platform.
Xavier addressed the audience: “My goal is to promote the concept … It was intended as the guide to the global Indian. My company focuses on developing global Indians, and this book improves that brand by asking a crucial question: what does a global Indian mean?”
He emphasized that the path of the global Indian goes beyond geographical boundaries, based on flexibility, aspiration and determination. “In my opinion, evolution towards a global Indian is a long -term process,” he noticed. “No experience changes an Indian who is in -depth than the time that is spent abroad. It reforms your thoughts, your approach to work and your self -perception.”
After the keynote there was a hireside chat, in which Xavier offered perspectives from his journey as the founder and CEO of the Y-axis, the most important immigration and career consultancy in India. He emphasized that, based on his experience with helping thousands of Indians in moving to international positions, habits rooted in identity who choose the way in which individuals choose to learn, develop and make a crucial role in making successful global stories.
He also emphasized the characteristics associated with Indians abroad. “Indians embody the spirit of hard work in the most admirable way,” he noticed. “It is about perseverance, ingenuity and a flair for business. These characterize the worldwide Indian and make them valuable at any location.”
Global perspectives shift:
The conversation shifted to how the world views Indians, and emphasized figures such as technology pioneers Sundar Pichai and Satya Nadella, in addition to doctors, engineers and entrepreneurs who have made important contributions in various sectors. Xavier acknowledged that although stereotypes and obstacles persist, the reputation of Indians has been drunk because of a long -term dedication to reliability and excellence over the years.
“The demand for talent is huge – a huge amount of exceptional skills – and India distinguishes itself as the only nation that can produce this on a scale,” Xavier emphasized. “From neurosurgeons to AI pioneers and engineers, cultivating this expertise requires for decades of effort. The global Indian plays a crucial role in tackling the most complicated challenges with which we are confronted today.”
The opportunity was concluded with the formal launch of the Global Indian, presented by Gulf News Interim CEO Vijay Vaghela in the company of Xavier. Each guest received a tailor -made edition of the book and marked a memorable end of an evening that collaborated with cultural contemplation.
Given that more than 3.5 million Indians live in the VAE, the concepts that have been investigated in the Global Indian are strongly investigated in the region. This book not only goes to the first generation of immigrants who have established their lives abroad, but also the younger generations that struggle with identity issues belong and ambitions in an increasingly globalized environment.
For Xavier, the launch represented an important achievement and a prompt for action. “Embracing the identity of a global Indian is a process,” he said. “This book serves as an invitation to consider, define and increase that identity.”
