Pancakeswap has introduced Futures contracts that are linked to large US shares, allowing users to trade synthetic versions of Apple, Amazon and Tesla directly on the blockchain, according to a August 5 edition.
The new feature, live from 5 August, allows crypto users to open livered long or short positions with only a self-custodied wallet. Trades are performed on the BNB chain and support up to 25x leverage, with prices designed to reflect traditional stock markets.
In contrast to conventional stock trading, these contracts do not require a broker’s account, registration or custody of assets. Instead, all activity remains completely Onchain, which marks a new step in the shift from the platform to hybrid financial models that bridge traditional and decentralized assets.
In contrast to crypto -central futures, which act around the clock, these stock futures will work during the American market hours, from Monday to Friday from 13.30 to 20:00 UTC, and are accessible via a newly added “shares” section in the Pancakeswap -interface.
Users can adjust the lever levels and choose their trade direction based on market sentiment.
Perpetual contracts allow speculation about the movements of asset price without possessing the underlying effects. The range of Pancakeswap follows stock prices due to the decentralized infrastructure and avoids guardianship risk.
The platform warned that the new derivatives entail a considerable financial risk. With high leverage, small price movements can lead to reinforced profits or losses. It insisted on users to understand the engineers and risks before they have tokenized stock trading.
By integrating traditional shares into its decentralized derivatives platform, Pancakeswap wants to expand investment tools for crypto-Native users who are looking for wider exposure without leaving the blockchain ecosystem.
The move comes in the midst of a wider industry, mainly through centralized fairs, in Tokenized shares and web3 versions of Legacy markets.
