The cohort of listed companies with possession of at least 1,000 Bitcoin (BTC) has risen from 24 at the end of the first quarter to 35 from July 25, which represents an increase of almost 50%.
According to Released new figures By Chris Kuiper, vice -president of research at Fidelity Digital Actra, the growth pushes the combined stock of the group to nearly 900,000 BTC, which focuses on the symbolic 1 million BTC marking.
The graph shows that after hitting a plateau in 2023, the number of heavyweight business holders started to accelerate at the end of last year and continued to rise.
Distributed acquisitions
Kuiper argued that, in addition to the increase in companies, the purchase pattern also showed a significant change.
In the first quarter, companies took over less than 100,000 bitcoins. One company dominated that power, making other slices of the pie chart thin.
By the second quarter, the purchase had risen to more than 154,000 BTC, which represents an increase of 35% compared to the previous quarter. What is even more important, the acquisitions were shared over a much wider set of treasuries.
The second pie chart with new slices, indicating that Bitcoin is no longer the resident of a handful of balance shear pioneers.
Rise
Apart from the Bitcoin acquisition due to heavyweights, broad business adoption has also increased this year.
In the first six months of 2025, Public companies absorbed 245,510 BTCMade more than double the 118,424 BTC for spot exchange -controlled funds on the same piece.
That Trek is a jump of 375 % of the 51,653 BTC companies that were picked up in the comparable 2024 period, while the demand for Exchange-Trade Fund (ETF) dropped 56 % year-over year after last year’s launch-driven Burst.
Strategy still led the peloton with 135,600 BTC, which represents almost 55% of the total, but the share has fallen from 72%, indicating that buying has been widened more than a single Bellwether.
Boards now buy around 2.1 BTC for each ETF Munt, which is less as a speculative point and more as working capital or a spare determination.
