ONDO Finance and Pantera Capital have launched a $ 250 million fund to accelerate investments in Tokenized Real-World Assets (RWAS), Axios reported on July 3.
According to the report, the fund, called ONDO Catalyst, will invest in stock interests and tokens of projects that develop tokenized versions of traditional financial assets.
Ian de Bode, Chief Strategy Officer at ONDO, said the newswire that the tokenisation market witnesses a “weapon race” as stock exchanges and protocols expand to tokenized shares and listed funds.
Recent initiatives reflect the momentum. Robinhood launched a Layer-2 blockchain to enable European customers to act Tokenized US Shares and ETFs.
In May, Kraken announced plans to offer tokenized US stock trade to investors outside the United States, while Coinbase is reportedly striving for legal approval to provide Tokenized shares.
ONDO Finance has expanded its role in blockchain-based capital markets this year. The company launched ONDO Global Markets to connect traditional financing with Blockchain infrastructure and formed a global market alliance with other crypto companies to stimulate acceptance.
