In short
- A Bitcoin mini worker won a reward of 3,151 BTC – or $ 326,337 at today’s prices
- But skeptics on social media said that the miner received extra hashrate.
- Bitcoin mining has become increasingly competitive.
A Bitcoin miner worker picked up a large reward of 3,151 BTC – or $ 326,337 Today’s prices– After solving a block alone, according to blockchain data.
Block 899,826 was processed by a “solo -miner” – something that rarely happens.
But according to Adelaar-Ops observers on X, the photo is not as easy as it seems.
The miner apparently received a hassle from elsewhere, said software engineer of the CK Miner Pool on the platform.
Dr. CK, the manager of the solo.ckpool, a pool for independent miners, said it was “clear” that the miner was renting the hashpower.
“This hashrate was almost certainly a rental based on the fact that there was only one employee, although the account has been creating with a much lower hashrate for a while,” he wrote.
Decrypt reached the mining pool for extra comments.
Decrypt Earlier spoke with experts about how, despite the fact that more “Solo -Mijners” achieved the jackpot, they often received help – that hashrate – from elsewhere.
And “Solo Miner” – as the term on blockchain – data websites appears – does not necessarily mean that a person with limited sources mul’s new coins in himself. It can rather just mean a mining operation that is not a large brand or listed company that dominates the Bitcoin mine industry.
Hashrate is the computing power that is used to dig Bitcoin. When blocks – containing transaction data – are processed by miners and added to the blockchain, miners are rewarded for their work with newly beaten bitcoins.
But Mijnbouw Bitcoin is a heavy industry: as soon as something that you could do at home on a PC, the industry is now huge and activities are usually warehouses that use huge amounts of electricity to process blocks.
Entering the space is also not for the risk-averse, despite a crypto-friendly president now in the White House and cheap energy available in MijnHubs in the US, apart from the competitive environment, the rewards for miners have purchased to 3,125 bitcoin since last year’s halving.
