Telegram-linked The open network resumed the activities after a short malfunction on 1 June that stopped the block production.
On June 1, Ton Developers announced That a solution was used for 40 minutes after the problem was identified.
According to the official update of Ton, the incident stemmed from an error in the processing of the Masterchain -Support Department, which was temporarily disrupted by the block production.
The development team isolated the problem successfully and quickly implemented a corrective patch, because the updating of only a few masterchain rates was sufficient to resume the production of blocks and restore the network consensus.
Developers have also confirmed that no user assets were influenced by the disruption and that a post-mortem of the incident will be published in the coming days.
These types of malfunctions are not limited to Ton alone and have also influenced other block chains with high transit such as Solana and Sui in the past year. These malfunctions usually occur when Validator nodes lose consensus or meet software bugs, often activated by sudden peaks in network activity or inadequate codelogica.
For Ton this is not the first time that it has experienced service interruptions. In August 2024, the network was confronted with two major malfunctions due to overwhelming traffic due to the launch of the dog memecoin.
On August 27, the block production stopped on Workchain Block 45.341.899 and was only resumed after a coordinated node reset by validators. A second malfunction followed on 28 August, around six o’clock, with block 45,350,522 that marked the break.
Another incident took place in December 2023, when an increase in Ton20 transactions led to a drastic decrease in transactions speed.
TPs fell from 100,000 to one because of validators operating on sub -powerful hardware. Ton Developers issued a patch and encouraged hardware upgrades, while promising fines for network participants who did not meet the performance standards.
Despite these technical setbacks, the interest in the TON -Ecosystem has remained strong. In March 2025, the project assured $ 400 million in financing large companies, including Sequoia Capital, Draper Associates, Coinfund and Skybridge.
