Uniswap Labs CEO Hayden Adams believes that Solana has a “better roadmap, team and approach” to develop decentralized finances (Defi) directly on the Monolithic low-1.
In recent years, Ethereum focused on developing a modular Rollup-oriented approach. Much more activity is now happening on Layer-2 networks, and some critics have argued that they are parasitic in relation to low-1.
Adams has spoken in Scepsis with regard to leaving years of work in this specific direction, with the argument that Solana would be better suited for performing Defi on Layer-1.
“Do you want to throw this away on the last piece for what reason?” He meant.
Adams has added that he would be in order with an L1-Central scale approach. However, this would require substantial considerations. “
“Ethereum is for everything”
This is after bankless co -founder David Hoffman said that the “Ethereum L1 is for Defi.”
In a still to be published article, Hoffman argues that Ethereum ‘must be the obvious place for builders, users and assets to stay’. He claims that “no blockchain” will ever have the properties that Ethereum has and it says that it is the only decentralized smart contract platform with “Perfect Uptime”.
He claims that as much economy as possible should be on the L1. “L1 should serve everyone,” he added.
