A potential collaboration between Cardano (ADA) and Chainlink (link) is in the making. Both blockchain projects investigate how they can improve the development of decentralized finance (Defi) based on the UTXO model. Charles Hoskinson, the maker of Cardano, discussed these developments in a recent interview about the David Gokhshtein podcast.
According to Hoskinson, the Cardano and Chainlink teams are in conversation to build a Defi Oracle solution that goes beyond a single blockchain. The project is intended to connect a wider range of Utxo-based networks, such as Bitcoin, Litecoin and Dogecoin. The aim of this partnership is to create an Oracle system that is generally in different blockchain networks, instead of being limited to a single ecosystem.
As the world of decentralized financing is spreading, the need for reliable oracles also does: those systems that offer external data to smart contracts. Chainlink, who is already a prominent figure in the Oracle World, wants to get a grip in Utxo -based networks. As Hoskinson explained, Chainlink wants to establish a foot on the ground in the room and attract users from these ecosystems.
