BlockSec Joins Morph Payment Accelerator as Official Audit Partner

March 15, 2026No Comments4 Mins Read

Morph recently announced that BlockSec is joining the Morph Payment Accelerator as an official audit partner. The partnership gives payment companies building on Morph direct access to professional smart contract audits and penetration testing, with a 20% discount on audit services exclusively for Payment Accelerator participants.

For a program designed to scale real payment products on the Morph mainnet, having a dedicated security partner in place before companies go live is a meaningful structural addition.

What BlockSec actually does

BlockSec is not a generalist security company that has retroactively added smart contract audits to its list of services. The company is built around the principle that security research and real-world protection belong in the same organization.

The work includes smart contract audits, infrastructure security assessments and real-time threat monitoring through the Phalcon product suite, which provides customers with ongoing visibility into live protocol activity rather than a one-time pre-launch audit.

Its customer base spans a wide range of onchain environments: DeFi protocols, centralized exchanges, stablecoin issuers, and crypto payment providers across multiple markets. That reach is important here.

Payments infrastructure sits at the intersection of several of these categories at once, and a security company that has merely audited the DeFi code is not the same as a company that has worked directly with payments-oriented products that handle continuous flows of user funds.

As part of the Morph partnership, BlockSec will provide participating companies with smart contract audits, penetration testing and security guidance during the build and deployment process. Eligible Payment Accelerator projects can contact us directly to begin the audit process and access the discounted rate.

Why payment products face a different security bar

There is a tendency in the onchain space to treat security as a universal problem with universal solutions. Smart contract audits are smart contract audits. In practice, payment infrastructure operates under a clear set of requirements that most audit checklists were not originally designed for.

A DeFi protocol with an exploit typically impacts liquidity providers and traders who understood the risk profile of what they were using.

A payment gateway that processes thousands of daily transactions for merchants and end users operates in an entirely different accountability environment. Downtime is a business failure. A fund loss event is potentially a regulatory event. The threshold for what counts as acceptable safety is higher and the consequences of shortcomings are less limited.

This is before taking into account the specific attack possibilities that payment products introduce. High-frequency transaction patterns, predictable settlement windows, and integration with off-chain systems all create vectors that standard DeFi audit frameworks may not fully address.

Penetration testing becomes relevant in a way that is rarely the case for isolated on-chain protocols. BlockSec’s experience in both smart contract and infrastructure security makes it well-suited to cover that broader surface.

About the Morph Payment Accelerator

The $150 million Payment Accelerator, powered by the BGB ecosystem, is a performance-based program for payment companies, financial institutions and infrastructure providers that build on Morph.

Most accelerator programs pay out based on milestones or proposal quality. This pays on volume. Incentives are tied to verified stablecoin payments settled through Morph Mainnet, so the companies that move more money make more. There is no optimization for program mechanics here.

Target markets include crypto cards and digital issuance, cross-border money transfer platforms and payment gateways for merchants. Participants will build on Morph’s near-instantaneous settlement infrastructure, lower operating costs compared to traditional payment rails, and programmable onchain functionality designed for payment flows at scale.

Last words

The BlockSec partnership adds a security standard to that foundation. Rather than having each participating company independently source and fund its own audit process, the accelerator now provides a direct path to credible security coverage at a lower cost.

For early-stage payments companies, where budget constraints can push security timelines later than they should, that structure removes a real point of friction. It also raises the overall quality floor for what is built and shipped within the program, benefiting every participant as the ecosystem grows.
